Spanish Language & Culture

Vejigantes at the Fiesta de Santiago (Saint James Festival)

As part of the experience of Pacia Life Puerto Rico, all students, regardless of academic status or direction, have the opportunity to study the Spanish language. Students have the opportunity to use their new language skills in daily interactions with each other and members of the local community. Language instruction is supplemented by enrichment activities that expose students to every region of Puerto Rico.
Formal Spanish classes are provided by the team at Learn Spanish in Puerto Rico. Spanish is also practiced with the staff and in the community.

These Spanish language skills and first-hand cultural exposure make students more employable as many employers favor bilingual applicants and view travel outside the contiguous United States as beneficial. It also supplements the student’s portfolio when applying to colleges by demonstrating additional life experiences and cultural exposure.
